1 | Ask for a cold, and ye shall receive it? | Matt 16:6 | PastorFloyd | 90816
The main gist of what the Bible is teaching is the Salvation of Jesus Christ Hank. But why should I live in sickness or poverty because you want me to? I don't care whether you or anyone else believes that Christ died for good health or prosperity, Hank. I am going to continue following my beliefs Hank because it works for ME and MY FAMILY. I repeat once again Hank: DO A WORD SEARCH ON THE SCRIPTURES FOR HEALING. READ THEM WITH ON OPEN MIND HANK. READ THEM HANK! DON'T RELY ON OTHER PEOPLE TO READ THEM FOR YOU. I did not get my healing by listening to Alexander Scourby reading the scriptures. I got my healing and prosperity by studying the Word of God myself, over a period of time. Course if there is anyone out there who can read the scriptures once and get that same thing, great. all the more power to you. You know what Hank? I know that you are again going to ask me to put the scriptures where my mouth is and I tell you again and again and again do a word search of the scriptures of healing. While your at it, do a word search on prosperity, you will be surprised on the number of scriptures that God put in His Word on prosperity. Do a word search on the laying on of hands also. Do a word search on the boundaries that God set in place when He created the earth. There are a great number of word searches that you can do on the different persecutions that we are going through in this world. God has an answer for everyone of them. FIND THEM YOURSELF. THAT IS HOW YOU BUILD UP YOUR FAITH. STUDY TO SHOW YOURSELF APPROVED. |

2 | Ask for a cold, and ye shall receive it? | Matt 16:6 | Hank | 90823
Pastor Floyd: You say you didn't get your healing by listening to Alexander Scourby reading the Scriptures. Thanks for the tip. Maybe that's where I went wrong. I think I'll switch and listen to James Earl Jones reading the Scriptures :-) And thanks also for the tip on doing a word search. Please allow me to return the favor. Why don't you do a word search (in a good dictionary) for the words 'exegesis' and 'context'? --Hank
3 | Ask for a cold, and ye shall receive it? | Matt 16:6 | Radioman2 | 90826
Hank: Isn't it odd that the people who encourage us to speak the Scriptures aloud are also the same people who are opposed to listening to someone else speak them aloud? Radioman2 |

4 | Ask for a cold, and ye shall receive it? | Matt 16:6 | Hank | 90830
Radioman: Yes, it's odd indeed. Maybe it has something to do with the tone of voice :-) With apologies to Ogden Nash, I would observe that our daily diet grows odder and odder: 'tis a wise sheep that knows its Fodder. --Hank
5 | What would happen if...? | Matt 16:6 | Radioman2 | 90835
Hank: While we're at it, what do you suppose would happen if a prosecuting attorney went into court and, when asked by the judge to present his evidence, replied: "Your honor, if it's evidence you want, why don't YOU conduct an investigation and come up with evidence to prove my case?" Why not? As Copeland would reason, If you have imagination as a grain of sesame seed, nothing shall be impossible unto you. Would such a prosecutor be cited for contempt of court or would he be disbarred on the grounds that he is too stupid to practice law? Radioman2 P.S. "Stupid" is such an ugly word. But then so are the words "you fools" and "you skeptics". |

6 | What would happen if...? | Matt 16:6 | Searcher56 | 91492
Actually the judge would remind the prosecutor of the define roles of each. Is a Biblical twist with "imagination as a grain of sesame seed"? |
