1 | WHERE IS YOUR COMPASSION? | Matt 16:6 | Emmaus | 90663
Pastor Floyd, May we quote you to yourself when you are lying in your casket? After all, death is only a symptom according to your theory. May we assume that you will reject it and choose to be healthy in your present body for all eternity or will your "faith" fail you and will you just die like the rest of us? We are all sick and dying physically, just some of us are dying slower than others. And some of us seem to be in denial. Emmaus |

2 | WHERE IS YOUR COMPASSION? | Matt 16:6 | PastorFloyd | 90828
Tell you what: If your living when I die, you can say I TOLD YOU SO! God said; I'll give you what you want. Why should I die before I want to go? Ever read the 91 Psalm? The last verse says I will give you a long life. How long do you want to live? He says in the early part of the books of the Bible that; "I will not strive with man forever, I'll give him 120 years to amend his ways." I believe its the 94 Psalm that says you can have 70 years and more if by reason of strength. If your sick unto death how can you have reason of strength? |

Pastor Floyd, I think you are confusing faith with the arrogance or good genes or good health that may or may not last as long as you think. Allow me to paraphrase a parable. There were two men who went up to the Temple to pray. The first, a robustly healthy man approached the altar and with hands held high said: "I thank you God that I understand how to release the power of my faith and am therefore healthy and strong, unlike the multitude of weaklings in this world like that other man back there. I work out daily and think positive thoughts and would not dream of asking for a common cold. And I give advice to weak on how to become strong and healthy like me whenever I can." The other man, crippled with disease and injuries and bent over in his wheelchair, stayed back and prayed thus: "God, be merciful to me a sinner." I tell you this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled and everyone who humbles himself will be exalted. Emmaus |

I like your paraphrase. I have never heard it explained quite that way. We will find out on the day of judgement when Jesus answers all questions. Right? By the way how do i access a note that I or someone wrote prior to this one? |
