1 | Do babies go to heaven or hell? | Gen 5:24 | mark d seyler | 154005 | ||
Searcher, We all sin, but we do not all go into the lake of fire. When Jesus died, He took upon himself the imputation of our sin; He took credit for our sin, and bore the punishment. Only those with imputed sin will go into the lake of fire. Imputation of sin is only given according to the breaking of God's law. Babies, though born with original sin, have not yet received God's law. It is when they understand God's law, and choose to break it, that sin is imputed. I have covered these scriptures in my posts. I would also ask that if you wish to represent my responses in your post, please be careful to present my words as I wrote them. Our God is just and merciful, and has made the way not only for the ones who are mature, aware, and intelligent, but also for the young, handicapped, and for whatever reason, unable to understand as we do. Where much is given, much is required. Where little is given, little is required. To those who have lost a young child, who had not matured enough yet to understand the gospel, take heart - God loves them so much more than you do. Mat 19:13 Then little children were brought to Him, that He might lay hands on them and might pray. But the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, Allow the little children and do not prevent them to come to Me, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven. Love in Christ, Mark |

Third question set ... what happens to those who became mentally challenged after they heard about Christ and rejected Him ... are they bound for heaven? My point is that if we say there are expections to accepting Christ alone for the way to heaven, there is danger. I think it is wise to not give any expections ... w/o Him in one's heart, one is bound for the lake of fire. Other expections are those who never heard ... those in cults and believe they are saved ... should I go on? PS Read the Greek to know the truth about Matthew 19:13-14 ... and reflect on the Beattitudes (Matt 5) ... if I am poor in spirit and not saved do I receive kingdom of heaven ... should I continue? |
