Subject: Do babies go to heaven or hell? |
Bible Note: Searcher, "Now answer ... Psalm 51:5 says we were born sinners (Gen 8:21, Psa 58:3, Jhn 9:34, Eph 2:3). Do you agree?" Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. My understanding is that we are born into a sinful state, and we confirm that state with our own sin. 1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Joh 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Joh 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; The sins of the entire world were paid for. The babies died at Sodom and Gomorrah because they were "conceived in sin", and yet, Jesus died for the sins of the world, paving the way for their acceptance into heaven. Remember, where little is given, little is required. The God Who died to pay the price for all sin of all time, has promised to judge those who do not recieve Him by their works. So I ask, what is the disobedience that a child can work, that does not know from right and wrong? I just do not see how Numbers 14 can be applied outside of that particular circumstance, and you have not offered any other scriptural proof but to keep repeating that it does. When God has provided a way for these babies to come to Him, and has given the principles of justice that allow it, do you no think that is is the heart of God to receive them to Himself? And no, I don't think that any of this, or anything else, absolves us of our responsibility to fulfill God's every commandment. Love in Christ, Mark |
