Subject: Do babies go to heaven or hell? |
Bible Note: Searcher, We all sin, but we do not all go into the lake of fire. When Jesus died, He took upon himself the imputation of our sin; He took credit for our sin, and bore the punishment. Only those with imputed sin will go into the lake of fire. Imputation of sin is only given according to the breaking of God's law. Babies, though born with original sin, have not yet received God's law. It is when they understand God's law, and choose to break it, that sin is imputed. I have covered these scriptures in my posts. I would also ask that if you wish to represent my responses in your post, please be careful to present my words as I wrote them. Our God is just and merciful, and has made the way not only for the ones who are mature, aware, and intelligent, but also for the young, handicapped, and for whatever reason, unable to understand as we do. Where much is given, much is required. Where little is given, little is required. To those who have lost a young child, who had not matured enough yet to understand the gospel, take heart - God loves them so much more than you do. Mat 19:13 Then little children were brought to Him, that He might lay hands on them and might pray. But the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, Allow the little children and do not prevent them to come to Me, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven. Love in Christ, Mark |
