Greetings Graceful! Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law's health, but glad to hear that she is going to be with the Lord. You asked: "Tim Moran...where are you? How is Holy Spirit translated in the New Testament? According to my Complete Jewish Bible all of the above verses Holy Spirit is translated 'Ruach HaKodesh'. And in the King James, New King James, and NAS it is translated Holy Spirit." "Holy Spirit" in the New Testament is simply the words 'hagios' or 'Holy' and 'pneuma' or 'Spirit'. It doesn't occur very often, but this is what place where Ray and I have disagreed. While it is certainly true that 'pneuma' alone can refer to something or someone other than the 3rd Person of the Trinity, I don't believe that the two words ('hagios' and 'peuma') ever refer to anything or anyone other than the Holy Spirit (the 3rd Person of the Trinity). Ray believes that there are both the Holy Spirit and a holy spirit, with the later being a thing, not a person. But, I differ with him at this point. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Thank you Tim. I wanted to make sure I was understanding his point correctly. My mother-in-law was 91 and lived a very full life! We will truly miss her but so glad she is now home with Jesus. Thank you and God bless |
