I was in a bible study a few years ago and the author of the book we were studying made this statement: Ministries that preach about money take in the most money. (not an exact quote). here it was stated 'yet they themselves the teachers of WoF live strictly off those that listen to them'. Does anyone know if and where the above statements can be verified as being true? Thanks in advance to those who may respond... :) |

I'd say that the statement made about WoF here is kind of ignorant. Every ministry lives off of those who listen to them. 1 Cor 9, Rom 15, Gal 6, Phi 4. Whether they are heretical or not. Just ask CRI and Hank what they did with the money from Christianity in Crisis and Counterfit Revival, and The Resurrection? They probably used it to fund their ministries. And to pay salaries. Would anyone care to say that's wrong? Or is that the way things work? "You shall not muzzle the ox while it treads out the grain." I would probably agree with you. Ministries that preach about money get the most money. Ministries on TV and Radio get more than the rest. If God is pleased with your ministry, wouldn't he support it as He did with Paul? Why then should you beg people to support what you? It's totally interesting to me that NOT once to my knowledge does Paul ever mention the subject of healing specifically, but he does devote much of his writing to the subject of money. Rom 12, 13 and 15, 1 Cor 9, 2 Cor 8 and 9, Gal 6, Phi 4 1 Thess 4, 2 Thess 3, 1 Tim 5 and 6, and Philemon. These are devoted to the motives, attitudes, purpose and methods of obtaining money. |
