1 | Have we been resisting the holy spirit? | 1 Cor 14:22 | leolipwee | 51732
Hi Tim, i believe that the Son is a person, but i have yet to recieve teachings about my Abba FATHER GOD as a person. however i read before that He used to walk with Adam and Eve, chat with Abraham (Abram) and wrestled with Israel (Jacob). so i believe i see my FATHER in Heaven as a person. does that help you to see where i am from? :) leolipwee |

2 | Have we been resisting the holy spirit? | 1 Cor 14:22 | Morant61 | 51733
Greetings Leolipwee! Thanks! Yes, that helps me to understand! In theology, the term 'Person' is used to describe the members of the Godhead. Obviously, God is not like us in that He is not limited to the physical or material. So, the term 'Person' may be a little confusing. However, what the term is trying to convey is simply that each member of the Trinity is a thinking, feeling, relating Being, not simply a natural force. For instance, electricity is a force, but it does not feel, think, or relate. It simply is! The Holy Spirit is not simply a force. He is aware. He feels. He works. He comforts, ect.... This is what I was refering to in my previous post with the Scriptures I cited. I hope this helps my friend! :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

3 | Have we been resisting the holy spirit? | 1 Cor 14:22 | leolipwee | 51734
Thanx Tim! i finally understand why the term 'Person' was used. i believe that each member of the Trinity is a thinking, feeling, relating Being, not simply a natural force too, just that i refer the Holy Spirit as a 'Spirit' and not a 'Person' because i was not able to find any references to text that indicates clearly that the Holy Spirit is a 'Person'. and because i did not find the text references that you have given me on the previous post, i did not know how to reference to the Holy Spirit (usually referring as "it"). as such, there were many confusion that people think that i do not believe that the Holy Spirit is not simply a force, but one of awareness, feelings, capable of works, ... etc helped me you did! :) but can you tell me how was my answer useful in telling you where i am from? or rather can you tell me where you think i am from? leolipwee |

4 | Have we been resisting the holy spirit? | 1 Cor 14:22 | Morant61 | 51737
Greetings Leolipwee! I'm glad it helped! Your answer indicated to me that you did believe that members of the Trinity were Beings, not just forces, but that you were simply uncomfortable with the term 'Person'. I thought that might be the case, but I had to check! :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

5 | Have we been resisting the holy spirit? | 1 Cor 14:22 | leolipwee | 51738
thanx Tim, you are right, i am not comfortable referring the Holy Spirit as a 'Person' but its because the Bible did not clearly indicate so. if the Bible says so, then it is so. for me who is so young in his walk with JESUS, its the only physical/tangible and undisputable Word of GOD that i can firmly hold on to. i pray that the promised blessings in the Bible will chase after you as it is for others believing JESUS as their saviour. i shall continue my walk then. Shalom to you my brother in Christ leolipwee |
