AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 5:33 However, each man among you [without exception] is to love his wife as his very own self [with behavior worthy of respect and esteem, always seeking the best for her with an attitude of lovingkindness], and the wife [must see to it] that she respects and delights in her husband [that she notices him and prefers him and treats him with loving concern, treasuring him, honoring him, and holding him dear]. Bible Note: "Rabbi" Mark, or whoever you are, this occasion marks the first inclination I've had either to enter into the fray of this thread or to address you directly. Please allow me to offer you, a newcomer. a hint or two based solely upon my observation of your posts thus far. I'd measure my words with more care were I you. Let's take Mommapbs, for example. From what I know of her through the fine Christian spirit that shines through her postings, she is as far from Buddhism as east from west. Your remark aimed at linking this Christian lady to Buddhism was lame and crude. And Emmaus, a Christian, a Roman Catholic, and ever a fine example of a gentleman, merits no caustic words such as I have seen hurled toward him in this thread. This is a divisive thread, so much so that I am hard put to it to discern exactly what the point of it is, so bogged down and obscured has it become by mild to severe personal attacks and insults. Again I say, "Rabbi" measure your words. I should think it unlikely that you, sir, were sent to this forum by man or God to teach, judge or condemn its respected users such as Mommapbs and Emmaus. --Hank |
