Subject: God can use woman in the ministry? |
Bible Note: As far as the two scrpitures you quoted of women being silent ....taken at face value you are correct... that women should be kept out of pastorial positions and much more .. The problem with that is there is more to those scriptures... you need to go back to the Jewish customs of that time...afterall the Bible is a Jewish book ....The custom at that time was for the women to sit on one side of the church and the men the other...therefore if a women wanted to ask her husband a question ..in stead of waiting til they returned home she would shout across the church ...this caused a disruption .. therefore they were told to "be silent"... women are permitted to fill any position in the ministy of Christ Jesus....the women back then may have lacked manners...but are today intitled to hold pastorial positions... afterall God does not see male nor female we are all worshiping spirits to Him...and in heaven there is no male nor female....Also the first evangelist was a women ...Mary Magadelene was the first to the tomb and went to the disciples to proclaim that Jesus had risen ........ |
