Subject: Do I have to be Baptized to be saved? |
Bible Note: The thief in the cross is different story it is Jesus Christ he is talking personally, for example if you are going to out in the airport if you are with the president, you dont have to go through the custom for documentations or neccessary check-up, that whats happen to the thief on the cross. Christ knows the heart of the thief, aside from that the thief has no time to go to baptism but we we have a lot of time. baptism indeed will not save you, but your faith, but baptism is a contributor into salvation, the same as the religion those things are contributor in our salvation. I dont believed that when you have faith in christ you will reject baptism which is including in His commandments. We have to be obedient Please remember the lessons from Noah: Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Did Noah just because of faith alone? Noah has faith in God that is why he obey God even it takes 120 years before the flood came, do you think if noah reject the making of ark do you think do you believed that he has faith, and do you think he will be save in flood. We have to be obedient, because we are called for holiness. Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: i dont think refusing in water baptism will make you holy. If you are a believer christ will live in you and not yours. Ga 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. and if Christ lives in you He wants you to be baptise as he required Himself to be baptize of John Mt 3:13 ΒΆ Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
