Bible Question:
Greetings Tara1! I have asked you at least two times, with no response, how this doctrine of 'gods' can be correct when Jehovah Himself said in Is. 43:10: "'You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, 'and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me." So, was Jehovah wrong and there is in fact other gods? Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
Bible Answer: Our Father recognized there is always the option for mankind to have other gods when He directed His Israelite children "to have no other gods before Me." Yes God knows and created us with the power to choose between Him as the true God or anything else in this world, including the devil, self-indulgence, money, our jobs or anything else that could possibly stand between us and our God. He knows the most powerful god is the one that we worship in our minds. Like my daddy used to say to me as a young boy, we'll find time to do whatever we really and truly love. Our God is the thing that takes up most of our free time. God bless. |
