Let me be succinct: Eternal security? -- Yes The BIBLE doctrine of election[1]? - Yes Arminianism? -- NO ____________________ Footnote: 1. The BIBLE doctrine of election is summed up in the following NT verses: Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love. (AMPLIFIED Ephesians 1:4 ) But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.
