Bible Note: A testimony to validate my original suggestion ....my son was feeling as Figoyuen was and I showed him how to meditate on scripture. I instructed him to meditate on the Proverbs because the boy needs wisdom. After a few weeks of these exercises, he now has a greater desire to read scripture (not run from it), his worship is more proactive and meaningful vs distraction and boredom, and his behavior is improving. Now I don't know about anyone else, but in my opinion that is a good thing and shows the value of proper meditation on the word of God. You see...contrary to what Doc wants to believe my words mean, we are also pointing people to scripture and believe that God's answers to every problem and need are found in it. My Pastor daily sends several emails containing nothing but pure scripture. I am not talking about mystical experiences, but spending time with God in His word, learning how it applies to me personally, because He is a personal God. I so much appreciate WOS and his posts. I totally agree with what he has written. Also, what Emmaus wrote was beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I must once again remind the forum of what the Bible says about sqabbling over words. 2 Tim 2:14 Remind them of these things, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God not to wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers. God Bless each of you. Bows44 |
