AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 7:13 ¶ "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it. |
Subject: Who then is on this broad way? |
Bible Note: You are correct. Nowhere does the scripture state that Jesus is the Sabbath. The Son of man is Lord of the Sabbath (Matthew 12:8, Mark 2:28, Luke 6:5). On the other hand, katapausis is a fair distance from sabbatismos and would generally make the both the Sabbath argument and the Sunday argument a moot issue in that particular context. The narrow way is to obey God in spite of encouragement to disobey. |
