Bible Note: Dear WOS, Most often it is the appeal to the exotic. Things that are outside of the norms of one's culture has an appeal to young people. In being different, they assume that they can be seen as possessing greater piety, greater knowledge, greater insight. In essence, it appeals to our pride.
