Bible Question:
Makarios, Greetings. Please enlighten me. In human terms, one is responsible for his own doing. In a workplace, a manager is responsible to whatever failure his staff makes and in a family, a father is responsible for his children's behaviour. Now, my question is " Don't you think God feels responsible for the misdeeds of His creation?" Could it be God gave His only Son because of this feeling of responsibility ( I know John 3:16 ). BUT if it was so, it seems like it is some sort of imperfection yet we all know He is perfect. God bless Ngop |
Bible Answer: Greetings Ngop, Even though God works in us, resides in us and is able to keep us from stumbling, we do continue to stumble, simply because we continue to give in to sin. God cannot be made responsible for sin, and sin is repugnant to Him. Only God knows why He made it possible for mankind to sin against Him. Could God be made to 'feel responsible' because all of mankind has sinned (Romans 3:23)? The answer is no, simply because God's ways are not our ways, and the thoughts of the Lord are incomprehensible to us. How may we, the creation, be able to point out an 'imperfection' in the Creator? No one will know exactly why He made it so that we were to be imperfect until we are made to be perfect like Him. Blessings to you, Makarios |
