Bible Note: Aniset I also disagree Jehovah is a made up name created by Tyndale in 15th century He took the Jewish term for God YHWH and the Greek term Adonai and combined the vowels with the constants and came up with Jehovah. Rules of language changed the Y and W to J and V. When Moses asked God His name God clearly stated In Exodus 3:6 Moreover He said, "I am the God of your father--the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God. Later God confirmed this by saying in Exodus 3:15 Moreover God said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: 'The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.' Notice God said this would be His name forever. I wonder why we keep trying to change it? EdB |
