Bible Question: I am helping someone new to the faith understand some things about the Word. This person is having a problem understanding the Holy Trinity. Could you please help break it down to a more simple form so that I can help this person get a better understanding?? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Msdaisy1994! Here is a basic description of the trinity: The Trinity is simply a human attempt to explain the evidence of Scripture and the nature of God. We know the following from Scripture: a) There is only one God. b) The Father is God. c) Jesus is God. d) The Holy Spirit is God. Therefore, the doctrine of Trinity says, "There is only one God, but within that one God are three distinct Persons." Each one is God, but the Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Spirit. Each one is God, but there is only one God. The following is a link which will go into more detail on the topic: http://www.equip.org/free/CP0704.pdf I hope this helps!
