Subject: Why did God tell Abraham to kill his son |
Bible Note: Hi Vintage68, I understand there was no law from Adam to Moses as for as the "law of Moses," but there was a law concerning taking the life of others. Genesis 9:5 Surely for your lifeblood I will demand a reckoning; from the hand of every beast I will require it, and from the hand of man. From the hand of every man's brother I will require the life of man. 6 "Whoever sheds man's blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man. So based on Genesis 9:6 if Abraham had offered Issac as a burnt offering thus killing him - would not others be required to take the life of Abraham for killing his son? |
