AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 22:2 God said, "Take now your son, your only son [of promise], whom you love, Isaac, and go to the region of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you." |
Subject: Why did God tell Abraham to kill his son |
Bible Note: Hi Vintage68, Wasn't God asking Abraham to kill his son? Genesis 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. This seems pretty clear to me. I mean after all did not any other burnt offering that was ever offered result in the death of the thing offered? |
