Subject: Why did God tell Abraham to kill his son |
Bible Note: Hi Steve, I do not know what the test was. But I do know this God told Abraham to sacrifice his son as a burnt offering. That would lead to his son's death of course. Thus his son would die. In SC we would say Abraham killed his son. So what I am trying to find out is: How could God require of Abraham to kill his son by the act of human sacrifice which would be an evil act - when in James 1 Scripture tells us that God does not temp with evil. Nobody seems to have the answer. If you could help I would appreciate it. |
