Pastor Glenn, I will take a look at the word Christ in the Bible. You have not provided a verse in the Bible that says one must accept Christ before they can serve Father. I suspect the word Christ is a title and a licence of some sort given by God to the Son. Also Jesus the Christ never lays claim to being God. Jesus says that he is the Son of God. Now show me a verse were Jesus lays claim to be God? You will not because he is Immanuels Son ... Son of God. Not to worry because Immanuel came unto his own (incarnate Angels on Earth) and his own received him not, but has many that did receive him he gave them the power to be Sons of God (Paraphrased verse because I did not look it up). However as I have tried to inform you Immanuels name (God is with us) is the only begotten of Father. Look at the verses below - I told you I am here to speak the truth. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (Whole Chapter: John 3 In context: John 3:15-17) John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (Whole Chapter: John 3 In context: John 3:17-19) |

Aften1, You said, "You have not provided a verse in the Bible that says one must accept Christ before they can serve Father." 1 John 2 22Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. 1 John 4 1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3and every spirit that does not confess that[1] Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. You said, "Now show me a verse were Jesus lays claim to be God? You will not because he is Immanuels Son ... Son of God. Not to worry because Immanuel came unto his own (incarnate Angels on Earth)..." Immanuel is Jesus. The Father is not Immanuel. I already posted scriptures where Jesus claimed to be God. Here they are again: Mark 14 61But He kept silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, "Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?" 62Jesus said, "I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven." 63Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, "What further need do we have of witnesses? 64You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?" You do indeed need to understand "Christ" the Massiah, the promised One of Israel. Hebrews 11 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them,[3] embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad." Pastor Glenn |
