Here we go again, Val, making man-made doctrines: "the whole counsel of God is inerrant." Again, where does the Bible say this? So me one verse, just one, where the Bible says that it is inerrant and infallible. Know what it says? It says it is profitable for training us for good works. That's what it says. Who has all authority? Not the Bible, Jesus! For the record, Jesus is sometimes in opposition to Moses, Paul, Joshua, etc. When they agree with Jesus, I have no problem with them. When they disagree with Jesus, I go with Jesus. Sola Christos! And, finally, let's clear something up. The Word of God is Jesus, not a book assembled during the 2nd century. It has often been said that Protestants removed the Pope from the throne and put the Bible there. Jesus promised us that his spirit would lead us into all truth...but the letter kills. How true! |

Jer 33:14 'Behold, days are coming,' declares the LORD, 'when I will fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah. Matt 5:17 "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. Mark 14:49 "Every day I was with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize Me; but this has taken place to fulfill the Scriptures." Luke 24:44 Now He said to them, "These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled." John 12:38 This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet which he spoke: "LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT? AND TO WHOM HAS THE ARM OF THE LORD BEEN REVEALED?" Acts 1:16 "Brethren, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit foretold by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus. Rev 17:17 "For God has put it in their hearts to execute His purpose by having a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God will be fulfilled. Sincerely, Val |
