1 | Will worshiping the Lord change in Rev? | Deut 11:19 | Searcher56 | 175473 | ||
God's day to you, Fellow Pilgrim, I have a problem ... while He is our Brother, based on the fact He is THE Son of God (Matt 16:16ff, et. al.) and we are sons of God (Gal 3:26) ... and what He said (Matt 12:48ff) ... while we bow before Him in worship, He is our Lord. We do cheapen His Lordship if we think He will lift us up and say we are His brother/sister. I think about Esther. While the king was her husband, and I presume they were intimate ... she had to approach him as her king, not husband. He responded as king, not her husband (Est 4:15ff). God is many things, but if we forget He is our Lord, who has absolute rule over us ... we are in trouble. Searcher |

Searcher, Good day my brother. Romans 8:16,17-The Spirit Himself bears wittness with our spirit that we are chidren of God.17-and if children,heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ,if indeed we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with Him.(NASB) In the KJV I believe is translated joint heirs. Now before I go any further I will say this so as to avoid as much missunderstanding as possible, Jesus Christ is Lord,He is ,He reigns supreme.Nothing will ever change that,and when we get to heaven I do believe that truth will be obvious to all. As we read through the bible,particularly the New Testament we see a testamony of Gods people singular to most other religions of the world.2 Corinthians 5:20- Ambassadors for Christ, 1 Peter 1:29- A chosen Race,a royal priesthood,A Holy Nation,A PEOPLE FOR GOD's OWN POSSESION.Read the rest of this verse,talk about powerful,boy 'O'boy if this doesnt inspire and encourage everyone of us? For us to claim and believe what God Says of us does not cheapen his Lordship but honors and cherishes Him as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Fellow heirs in Romans 8:17 when taken in biblical perspective carries a lot of weight and meaning. Godbless you dear brother, lionheart |
