I seek simple answers and understanding to profound Biblical truths so that I may pass them on to others in a way they clearly understand. I take very seriously Jesus' desire that we "go and make disciples". (Matt 28:19) I see myself as "one beggar telling another where to find the Bread of Life."

I do love the LORD Jesus with all my being, having been introduced to Him as a young boy - what a privilege to grow up with parents who practiced what they preach!

I also love God's Word, both in Jesus Christ and in His written word. I am amazed that "the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." (John 1:14) However I am troubled by the tendency for Christians in the Western world to often interpret God's word from a modern, Western/First World view, which has distorted many of the teachings of the Scriptures. There is a danger that we, once we have found salvation, become arrogant and exclusive, settling down with a "I'm all right, Jack" attitude, when we need take more seriously our LORD's instruction to share where we got the bread

My desire is to study God's word "forensically". By this I mean to seek to go back to the scenes in Scripture as it is presented to us to understand what God was doing and saying when He spoke or acted. What was He saying or doing at the time, and how does that become relevant to me today? Too often we in the West interpret the Holy Scriptures to suit our situation, and read into God's Word themes and instructions that are just not there.

I know my Redeemer lives, and desire to share with all I can both this truth and how we can live in fellowship with Him.
