1 | Is reverence feasible? Always? | Eph 5:33 | Emmaus | 65850
"When we seek to know the Lord, and listen for His heartbeat, our being will reflect Him more and more and obviously, that will be seen in a life that exemplifies the principles that God has set for us to live by." Mommapbs Having studied the Bible for many years I immediately recognized that not only is this not from the Bible ... there is nothing in the Bible that could be twisted or stretched in any way to even resemble what you wrote. Rabbi Mark "But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. " Deut 4:29 " And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. And his mercy is on those who fear him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with his arm, he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts, he has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted those of low degree; he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent empty away. He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his posterity for ever." Luke 1:46-55 Next you (Mommapbs) wrote: "Living life by the Law, following Biblical principles will never bring about the abundant life we long for unless we long for the giver of Life as a Bride longs for her husband --the key word is intimacy." "Again this concept can be found no where in the Bible. I mean, you actually say, that following Biblical principles will never bring about the abundant life we long for ... unless..." Rabbi Mark intimacy "O that you would kiss me with the kisses of your mouth! For your love is better than wine, your anointing oils are fragrant, your name is oil poured out; therefore the maidens love you. Draw me after you, let us make haste. The king has brought me into his chambers. We will exult and rejoice in you; we will extol your love more than wine; rightly do they love you." Song of Soloman 1:2-4 "And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband;" Rev 21:2 "The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." And let him who hears say, "Come." And let him who is thirsty come, let him who desires take the water of life without price." Rev 22:17 "One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee's house, and took his place at table. And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was at table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment, and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner." And Jesus answering said to him, "Simon, I have something to say to you." And he answered, "What is it, Teacher?" "A certain creditor had two debtors; one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. When they could not pay, he forgave them both. Now which of them will love him more?" Simon answered, "The one, I suppose, to whom he forgave more." And he said to him, "You have judged rightly." Then turning toward the woman he said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house, you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little." And he said to her, "Your sins are forgiven." Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves, "Who is this, who even forgives sins?" And he said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace." 2 | Is reverence feasible? Always? | Eph 5:33 | Mommapbs | 66066
Thank you Emmaus for such excellent Scriptures. Romans 7:4-6 tells us that we have died to Moses' teaching through Christ's body. . . we have died to those laws that bound us. God has broken their effect on us so that we are serving in a new spiritual way, not in the old way dictated by written words. Once again, perfect love casts out fear! Oh that all would be able to recieve the perfect love of God in Christ that sets us free from the law! This love comples us to seek the Lord in Spirit and in Truth. This is a beautiful picture of what is ours in Christ, the complete fulfillment of the law and a new way to come into the presence of God as the writer of Hebrews reminds us in Hebrews 10:10-23. Perhaps we should also look seriously at Hebrews 9:31-10:4. Comments? In Him, mommapbs |
