1 | God can use woman in the ministry? | Gal 3:28 | SaveInHisArms | 154505 | ||
I am a woman and I am in the ministry. I belive that many take out of contact what was said in 1 Cor. 14:34 ('the women should keep silence in the churches') and 1 Tim. 2:11 ('let a woman learn in silence with all submissiveness'). When you study the word you must also look at what the culture was at that time to have a full understanding. In those days the woman would sit on one side of the church and the men on the other. In order for the woman to ask he husband a question she would have to scream aross and it would disrupt the teaching of the word. God says in His word in Galatians 3: 26-29 For you are all sons of God throught faithe in Christ Jesus. For as amny of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slace nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all on in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. Also,Romans 2:11 says For there is no partiality with God. When the Lord looks at you He sees His grace, His son, His love, Jesus's Blood. That is why he sees you as Holy if you are His. Even thought we are far from it. God said if we would not praise Him that He would cause the rocks to cry our. God can and dose us anyone. Light is given where light is recieved. They don't answer because they cannot back up what they are going to say, or just don't know. Pray for them to have there eyes open. I hope this helped ya. SaveInHisArms |

Hi, SaveIn... I don't find a separation of men and women in worship until Hasidic and Saphardic practices. Also, the notion that God does not show partiality is an attribute of God Himself, and does not address the issue of roles. Consequently, those passages do not support your thesis. I do not say that your thesis is untrue nor do I say that it is unsupportable. However, the criticism of people using Scripture out of context ought not to be followed by a use of out of context Scripture. :-) In Him, Doc |
