1 | God can use woman in the ministry? | Gal 3:28 | djconklin | 37076
Will she know the same the con artists in the field claim they were called by God? I've met some who claimed to be called by God and found them to be lazy and teaching us their own cherished beliefs rather than those of the Bible. The rest of your post was excellant! |

2 | God can use woman in the ministry? | Gal 3:28 | BWJ | 37101
Of course God uses Women. Adam and Eve were BOTH called Adam by God, Adam named her Eve. In Christ they are brought back to equal. In fact, women are more easily moved by the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit is the Feminine side of God. Father, Son and Holy Ghost equals Father, Son and Mother. If you don't believe that, check out all of the aspects of the Holy Ghost and you will see that they are all Motherly. Women respond to Her far easier than men, because men are still so macho, while women are the soft gentle side, like the Holy Spirit.

4 | God can use woman in the ministry? | Gal 3:28 | OldTimer | 37126
To the best of my knowledge, the personal pronoun "He" is always used in reference to the Holy Spirit. To say that God has a masculine or a feminine side is to anthropromorphize Him - that is, attempt to give Him human characteristics. But remember, we are made in HIS image... we must be careful not to re-create Him in ours. Having said that the only feminine characterization of God that I'm aware of in the Bible is Sophia - Wisdom - who is represented in the book of Proverbs as crying out in the streets for us to hear. But to take this analogy and make a feminine God out of it is not warranted in my opinion. The is also the image of a mother bird used to portray God's providential love and concern for us (Ps 91, Matthew 23:37, Luke 13:34) but again, to take this analogy to the point of calling God "her" is not Biblically accurate. |

5 | God can use woman in the ministry? | Gal 3:28 | Morant61 | 37166
Greetings Oldtimer! That was the point I was attempting to make! Anything we say about God needs to be supported by Scripture. Thus, to call the Holy Spirit 'mother' or 'her' would not be Scriptural. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
