1 | God can use woman in the ministry? | Gal 3:28 | Dardoll | 201322 | ||
I feel understanding the scripture the way it is maybe misinterpeted. We as believers need not add or take away from what is written in the bible. |

Hi, Dardoll... Welcome to the forum. Interesting choice of words "I feel understanding." One of my hermeneutics professors -- a prominent scholar -- was always wont to say, "Think then feel. Think THEN feel!" Understand the word using sound grammatical and historical interpretative methods... then you'll know how to feel. Feel first and you're doomed to never understanding. In Him, Doc |

Hi Doc, That sounds like good advice to me. I was taught that our emotions are our responders, and our intellects are designed to be our initiators. When individuals get this twisted around and they end up being ruled by their emotions and they “try” to live the Christian way of life on the basis of how they feel: people in this mode of operation move through life going from emotional highs to depressing lows. Knowledge of Bible doctrine is designed to stabilize God’s children not put them on a rollercoaster. Ephes. 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 1 Cor. 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
