Norm I went to your church site and under doctrine I saw they have an common but mistaken view of the Trinity and that explains a lot of what you post here. In the doctrine statement post there the church says it holds to the trinity but then says God was manifested in Jesus and the Holy Spirit. While in fact the God Jesus and Holy Spirit are 3 separate persons yet one united in the Godhead. Jesus prayed to God, the Holy Spirit ministered to Jesus we see all three at the same time in Matthew 3:15-16 yet Jesus said the Father and I are one John 10:30. EdB |

We do not have a mistaken view of the trinity. We do not believe in the trinity. That is not to say we do not believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. It is the trinity doctrine we do not believe in. Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Praise the Lord! Norm |

I'm hoping that this won't jeopardize your relationship with God, assuming you've followed His plan of salvation and are a christian but I must admit the scripture you're citing from Colossians doesn't negate all the ones that clearly teach the oneness of the Godhead. Would you care to elaborate on this unusual belief with more scriptures or maybe even common sense? However, please be logical and God bless. |
