1 | Was Jehovah wrong? | John 3:16 | Morant61 | 112057 | ||
Greetings Rowdy! This is really a question I have been waiting for Tara to answer. You see, the JW's claim that Jesus is 'a god', but not Jehovah God. However, Jehovah Himself said that there is no 'God' but Him. Therefore, if Jesus is 'a god', then He must be Jehovah God. The JW's can't have it both ways. Either God was correct or He wasn't. Now, I realize that there are many things which people might call a god, but that doesn't really make them a god. Jeremiah powerfully described someone cutting down a tree and using part of it to cook his dinner while using the rest to make a 'god'. But, it really wasn't a god. Yet, John 1:1 makes it clear that Jesus is God. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Hello Tim, 1 Corinthians 8:5 to me answers your question by saying, “For even though there are those who are called “gods,” whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6 there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him.” You wouldn't say that Jesus Christ is the Father would you? As I've said before, the Bible calls Jesus "theos" several places but the Father Jehovah must be the only Almighty God and Jesus the "Son of God" but never is he called the "Almighty" theos. Tara1 |
