1 | Christ comes in kingdom power at the End | Mark 9:1 | EdB | 97833
Candy Lee The Old and New Tetament? I don't think so. simply doesn't fit the description of the works of the the two witnesses. Also the world did not view it's destruction nor did it see it's resurrection. Plus there was no celebration. Your view has some merit but it misses on immportant points like these. EdB |

If you study the history, then it would make more sence. There was a public burning of the Bible. If you think about it how could all the world see anything? With history it is a matter of teaching it. Anyone who wanted to learn about it could. There was a great celebration during and after the burnings. Who do you say they are? If you read Foxes Book Of Martyers You will find lots of martyers, Then there are the waldensians who were all but a few martyered, old young, men, women, children, and infants as well, thousands at a time. The only two witnesses I know that were burned togehter is the Bible. CL

CL Once again I have studied history extensively and I have read Fox's Book of Martyrs many times. I again tell you the burning of the Old Testament and New Testament does not fit the description of the two witnesses seen in Rev. 11:3 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth." The Old and New Testament certainly aren’t dressed in sackcloth. Nor do they breath fire from their mouth and consume those that would harm them. You said “If you think about it how could all the world see anything?” I answer Satellite TV and CNN. It has been said that nearly the whole world saw the twin towers collapse maybe not as it was happening but in reruns and such. With very few exceptions everyone in the world could conceivably watch a news event as it took place with the technology we have today, who knows what may be invented tomorrow. You said, “The only two witnesses I know that were burned together is the Bible.” Your right and since the Bible does not fit the description of the Two Witnesses that event couldn’t have happened yet. So we are still waiting for that to take place. EdB |
