Subject: Christ comes in power for 1260 days! |
Bible Note: Darcy, I understand your point about only 3 disciples "seeing" Him transfigured a week later. But He was not talking about a few who would not taste death, by any means, for no more than just a single week! What was the point of telling only these 3 they would survive just one week? Besides, Jesus did not come in Kingdom Power on the Mount because it was a foretaste of His coming in Person ... not of coming in power. Again, the context of Matt.16:27,28 shows that He was thinking of the Endtime period of 1260 days during which Believers will "know the End is near." They will count the 1260 days knowing that only "some standing here," in that context, must still die for Christ. This verse is His challenge for Believers to "not be ashamed of Him at His coming in glory." That too is the context of Mark 8:38 and 9:1. Mel. www.lastday.net |
