Bible Note: Greetings Candy Lee! I would say the one that is actually stated in Scripture would be correct. There isn't any Scripture which establishes that a 'day' in prophect equals a year. However, Daniel is quite explict about the 70 weeks of years - all but one of which has been fulfilled. Daniel 9 details the 70 'sevens' or 490 years. Daniel 9:27 also details that in the middle of this last seven years period, the 'abomination of desolation' will take place. Now, half of seven years is 1,260 days. What does Daniel 12 say? Dan. 12:11 - "‘From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. 12 Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.'" To me at least, it makes much more sense to read these days as what they say, 'days'. :-) Whether or not we agree on the interpretation about end times isn't that important to me my friend. What is important though is that many people will try to establish 'principles' that are not really Biblical. This whole concept of 1,260 days equaling 1,260 years seems to me to fit into that catagory. This is why I have been asking for the Scripture which actually teaches the 'principle'.
