1 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | DarcyA | 97096
Irts a type of His second coming. Notice it he Went up to the mountain after 6 days. I'm sure you know about the 6 day theory. The 3 people that went to the tranfiguration is 1/4 3 out of 12 disciples. This is a type of the tribulation then the second coming of Christ in a sense. Of course you have to take it first and foremost in the contect of the verse but I believe the type which is a little deeper is a type of the second coming. I believe that Christ showed His second coming through the mount of transfiguration. Useing the 6 days as people know of as the six day theory, Useing also how tribulation saints would survive the tribulation until His return.
2 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 97155
I don't share the view of a six-day theory because Luke says it was "about eight days." I do agree with you that the transfiguration was a type of the second coming. That is exactly why I believe Jesus said that *some* must still face the prospect of martyrdom after He comes in kingdom power in order to fulfill Rev.12:10 when "they love not their life unto death." After all, Endtime Saints are the ones who will need the most encouragement. By saying that "some will still taste death when He is about to come in glory," He indicates that "many will survive to the End and be saved" from physical death as He promised in Matt.24:14! Revelation also promises that those who endure will be "kept from the hour of trial that comes on all the inhabitants of earth ... an hour that Luke states will occur on the Day Christ appears in glory."
