1 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | CDBJ | 97091
There must be some that won’t be wise and remain faithful because of what we read in, Matthew 24:45-46 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. It is obvious that there will be some who fit these categories otherwise Jesus wouldn’t have made it so clear. They were all servants but there are two distinct groups, by observation, those who are faithful and wise and those servants who aren’t. Scripture tells us that before Christ returns there will be a falling away first. 2 Thes. 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, This is generally taken to mean, what we like to call, the rapture and Paul further warns believers that there is the possibility of deception about certain conditions that will exist before Christ return. 2 Thes. 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; This parallels what Jesus tells us in Matthew. Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Now if believers are taught that they won’t be around when all this nasty stuff takes place, modern day theory of rapture, then why would we even need to be warned of the deception that will happen, if we’re not on the scène?? Maybe we are being deceived already?? Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Rev. 12:13-17 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. 14And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. 15And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. 16And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. 17And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Rev. 13:5-7 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. That isn’t to say that the saints will go through the whole 1260 days i.e. 3 ½ years, because for them a removal will take place somewhere within that period. The actual object of the devil’s vengeance will be removed. Rev. 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. The word saved at the end Matt. 24:13 comes to us from the Koine Greek word SOZO and is referring to being delivered i.e. the rapture. We know that our actual salvation is not a matter of endurance on our part but faith in Christ and what he did for us. This to me all sound like trouble on the horizon for the good guys! 2 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 97154
CDBJ, You have given some good verses showing the apostasy must come before the Lawless One is revealed. But there will be Saints on the earth until the Day Christ comes in glory since He promised to "gather the Elect from earth to heaven in the days after the tribulation ... and to raise up every Believer on the last day." Even the remnant will be kept safe in the desert until the Lamb rescues them on that last day. So I would not agree in saying "That isn’t to say the saints will go through the whole 1260 days i.e. 3 ½ years, because for them a removal will take place somewhere within that period." Jesus said those days will be cut short so that NOT all the Elect will die ... not even during the final 3 1/2 days until the 7th Trumpet sounds. Mel |

3 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | CDBJ | 97158
When you say “Even the remnant will be kept safe in the desert” are you referring to the 144,000 that God seals? And if this were the case then why would God bother to seal them and then take them out the next instance? Rev. 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. They were sealed for protection to escape God’s wrath that He was about to pour out on the earth. If you are talking about Rev. 12:14 those are also all Jews. Rev. 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. This is a reference to Israel the in verse 13. The Gentiles believers, that have trusted in Jesus, aren’t mentioned until the 17th verse. Rev. 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. The dragon couldn’t get at the Jews, that he despises, so he tries to take out his vengeance or the Christians. Matthew 24:15-21 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. This section in Matthew is a warning to believers not unbelievers and the tribulation period is the devious plan of Satan at work in the world through man. NO believer will suffer the wrath of God. 1 Thes. 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Every believer in Jesus Christ can claim this promise not just a select few! Therefore the tribulation period isn’t the wrath of God but the vengeance of the devil. Rev. 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. The way I see it the rapture and the wrath of God will occur on the same day just like it did in the days of Noah and Lot. They were delivered to safety and then BOOM the wrath of God was unleashed on the same day. Luke 17:27-29 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Notice it say until “THE DAY” and “THE SAME DAY”. The word “THEY”, is referring to unbelievers The left behind bunch are going to get clobbered and they are going to know it coming . Rev. 6:15-17 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? We are going to be looking up for deliverance Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. When it all starts to happen it will all take place very, very quickly and all of the unbelievers are going to be looking for a nice deep cave to hide in. 1 Thes. 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. This will be the most glorious sight that the world has ever beheld and every eye will see Him coming for both rapture and wrath! It won’t be some sneaking away of God’s elect and people wondering what happened! 2 Thes. 1:9-10 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 10When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. Have a great day, CDBJ |

4 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 97183
CDBJ, The 144,000 have the seal of the Father during the entire 1260 Endtime days. They also receive the seal (name) of the Lamb on the Lastday because they are not only the "Firstfruit unto God AND the Lamb" (14:1,4) but also become the Bridegroom's Gift (Gift of Son of Man to His Father) on that Day. They "follow the Lamb wherever He goes" as He reaps the wicked armies to the winepress of God's great anger over an area of 1600 stadia." Rev.14:1-5, Rev.14-20. Then they "come on the clouds of heaven with the Son of Man and "present Him to the Ancient of Days and sing the song of the Lamb" before the Court sits in judgment on the Beast. Dan.7:9-13, Rev.15:1-4. Then the Temple opens for the 3-Act Drama of Testimony, Tribunal and Triumph. Rev.7:9-17, Rev.8:1-5, Rev.11:15-19. I agree that Gentile Believers are mentioned in Rev.12:17. Satan persecutes them during the 1260 days. But, having come out of the great tribuation in 7:9-14, they learn they have won the reward offered to the Church in Rev.3:12, i.e., of "serving God day and night as Pillars in heaven's Temple" for 1000 years. Rev.7:15-17, Rev.20:4,5. So Rev.12:6 to Rev.13:18 occurs before the Testimony/Tribunal of Rev.7:9-8:5. The Triumhp of Trump 7 immediately follows the Tribunal of Seal 7. You state the section in Matt.24:15-21 is a warning to believers, not unbelievers!? Since Believers are not appointed to God's wrath, this section is rather a warning to Unbelievers. The remnant of Believers that have the seal of the Father will escape to the desert and not be harmed during the 1260 Endtime days! I agree the great tribulation is Satan's doing, yet Daniel and Revelation indicate that Believers as well as Israelis will be "purged or else purified and refined." Dan.12:10,11, Rev.12:10,11 and Zech.13:8,9. God uses the persecution of the great tribulation so that all Believers will be "worthy of the Father when Christ appears with all the Saints" as Paul prays in I Thess.3:13 and Jesus requires in Mark 8:38. Only "some must taste death during the 3 1/2 days after time is no longer and the 7th Trumpet is about to sound." I agree the great tribulation is not the wrath of God ... not even the 7 last Plagues because they only "complete God's anger." Rev.15:1 (Greek). The Plagues do not "complete His wrath" since that wrath occurs after the last Plague when Christ descends and "treads the winepress of God's wrath" in Rev.19:11-15. God's wrath, announced in heaven only at the 7th Trumpet, occurs after "chronos-time ends in the days before Trump 7 sounds." Rev.10:6,7. I therefore also agree with you that "the rapture and the wrath of God occur on the same day!" Believers will be "gathered together above" on the last day, including the 144,000 as the Firstfruit of the living harvest; but the Jewish Remant (not the 144,000) will "look up" after Christ appears with all the Saints because they will "know their redemption and kingdom is near." Luke 21:28,31. They will "beg to escape and to stand before the Son of Man." Believers will be "kept from the hour of trial." Rev.3:10. Jews will pray and beg to escape the trial "coming on all of earth's inhabitants" as Jesus urges in verses 35,36. Redemption of all Believers is a certainty long before the last day on which Jews will be rescued as per Joel 2:32. Just as you wrote, "Believers are not in darkness that that day should overtake them as a thief." You too have a great day and be preserved from hurricane Isabel this week. Mel |

5 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | CDBJ | 97253
These posts are getting too strung out and need to be shortened so I will only consider one point on this post. What I was saying, is that Matthew 24 isn’t the wrath of God at all but the vengeance of the Devil. The short time of the great tribulation or 3 ½ years or 1260 days comes about as a result of the devil coming down to earth with a vengeance. Rev. 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. The short time is 1260 days or 3 ½ years. You say that Matthew 24:15-21 is a warning to unbelievers! Since when are unbelievers ever exhorted to pray, since God can’t hear them? John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. The whole key to the seven seals in Revelation is the fact that they don’t represent God’s wrath but the vengeance of the devil! The scroll that is opened up after all the seals are broken, starts the wrath of God, that is the contents of the book; everything else just leads up to it. The ones that come out of great tribulation are going to be us, the living believers at that time! Have a great day, CDBJ |

6 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 97361
CDBJ, I agree with you that the 1260 days of great tribulation are strictly a time of Satan's wrath. That is why no announcement from heaven is made that "God's wrath has come" until the 7th Trumpet sounds. However, in the 6th Seal we find that Unbelievers know the "Day of God's wrath has come" and they know this before the 7th Trumpet sounds! How much will Unbelievers know? We need to realize that John has not yet revealed the contents of the "seven thunders" that spoke out of the "little scroll." Because, in Seal 6, they even know "the DAy of the Lamb's wrath has come." My argument about Unbelievers praying for mercy is based on three Scriptural facts: One: Jesus said that Unbelievers will "mourn" when He appears with all the Saints. Two: Jesus states that those who are "willing to die will be kept alive, but those who seek to save themselves will perish ... on that day." Luke 17:30,33. Three: Jesus does not urge Believers to "pray to escape all these things" on the day He appears, but it is obvious that only Unbelievers "pray to escape all these things and to stand before the Son of Man." Luke 21:36. Jesus states this after "these things cause men's hearts to fail who are upon all the earth." Believers will all be "gathered together above on one of the days after the great tribulation" (Mark 13:24-27), so Jesus is urging Unbelieving Jews to "look up and beg to escape these things and to stand before the Son of Man."
