1 | Wisdom vs. knowledge | Prov 1:7 | ekip | 10
Wisdom and knowledge are different. Fearing the Lord requires both these attributes. I think having knowledge means knowing God's teachings and having wisdom means you are following God and His teachings.

Here's another slant which I always found helpful: Information is WHAT: A description or data about something Knowledge is HOW: How it works, the functional, tactic understanding of something Understanding is WHY: Why something plays a role in the larger world, Why it is, purpose. Wisdom what SHOULD be done as apposed to what CAN be done. Hope that helps, Blessings, Paul |

James 1:5-8 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Proverbs is a good source, too. There are 31 chapters, so read one chapter every day of the month. It will amaze you how pertinent it will be to your life. (Note, you can also read through all of the gospels in a month by reading three chapters a day.) |
