AMPLIFIED 2015 | Proverbs 1:7 ¶ The [reverent] fear of the LORD [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; But arrogant fools despise [skillful and godly] wisdom and instruction and self-discipline. [Ps 111:10] |
Subject: Wisdom vs. knowledge |
Bible Note: Here's another slant which I always found helpful: Information is WHAT: A description or data about something Knowledge is HOW: How it works, the functional, tactic understanding of something Understanding is WHY: Why something plays a role in the larger world, Why it is, purpose. Wisdom what SHOULD be done as apposed to what CAN be done. Hope that helps, Blessings, Paul |
