1 | Do babies go to heaven or hell? | Gen 5:24 | mark d seyler | 153932
How can you say death is final? The resurrection is fully established throughout the New and Old Testaments. David wrote of it. Job spoke of it. Do you not believe in the resurrection? What justification can you offer to say that Numbers 14 gives us a universal age of accountability? Is it applied somewhere else in scripture? Is it taught anywhere else in scripture? Does this passage say that it is to be applied to more than to this situation, with these people? But back to the original question: 1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Doesn't this open the door to God receiving children, and the mentally incompetent, to Himself? Didn't Jesus say that the kingdom of God belongs to "such as these little children"? Do you believe that God will condemn to the lake of fire one who lacks the ability to understand, and to believe, one whose sins were also placed on Jesus, as He died on the cross? Love in Christ, Mark |

And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment (Heb 9:27) means death is final. Yes, there is resurrection ... in fact two (Rev 20:5ff). We are on dangerous grounds if something is given once and we discount it (children who disobey their parents). Numbers 14 gives us some idea about what happens at age of 20. 1 John 2:2 as well as John 3:16 says he died for the world. Just as coupons that are sent out and we get ... they need to be redeemed ... we must take action - accept them, believe that they are true and make the call ... else they are worthless to us. Children come with less baggage ... "such as these little children" ... since God wants all to be saved as He says in 2 Peter ... why does He let us live beyond a certain point. We condemn ourselves ... plus, if we wanted our children to get a free pass, we could never explain what is right and evn more important the way to heaven. Now answer ... Psalm 51:5 says we were born sinners (Gen 8:21, Psa 58:3, Jhn 9:34, Eph 2:3). Do you agree? God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah there were less than ten righteous (Gen 18:16-19:25) and only the righteous have eternal life, the unrighteous, eternal punishment (Mat 25:31-46). Were the babies righteous or unrighteous? |

3 | Do babies go to heaven or hell? | Gen 5:24 | mark d seyler | 153938
Searcher, I find it very difficult to discuss this with you in that you do not answer the questions I ask you about your belief in this matter. Is a person condemned to the lake of fire for actual sin, or imputed sin? Love in Christ, Mark |
