1 | Why did God tell Abraham to kill his son | Gen 22:2 | bibleman12 | 214925
Hi WOS, OK Why did Go "test" Abraham to kill his son? Isn't it a sin to kill your son? Isnt this evil? and isn't that what God said he would not do in James 1? |

2 | Why did God tell Abraham to kill his son | Gen 22:2 | Wild Olive Shoot | 214926
He didn't test him to kill his son. He tested his faith. The condition of the sacrifice was to test his faith. Abraham knew God would provide. I can't break it down any more simple than that. Sorry. Stand in His grace, WOS |

3 | Why did God tell Abraham to kill his son | Gen 22:2 | bibleman12 | 214927
Hi WOS, Thanks for your kind response. Genesis 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. In this verse can we agree that God asked Abraham to offer his son as a burnt offering? And can we also agree that if Abraham had carried through with God's request that this would have resulted in Isaac's death? |
