Pastor Glenn - the original question was, In Jesus own words, show me the verse were Jesus claims to be God. Now it is important. You are going around in circles. The bottom line is that Christianity has missed the identification of the Trinity. The Father, The Son , The Holy Ghost. Father, God Almighty, and the Son of God. Father, Immanuel and Jesus. And I am happy to be the one to tell you. Unless you can PROVE me wrong and show me where Jesus in his own words says he is God. NOT what someone else said about him. And I suspect your takeing the Apostle Thomas words out of context - this is not needed by you. What is greater the Truth or a belief? Did Jesus say he was God or not? I am still waiting. |

Aften1, You said, "Did Jesus say he was God or not? I am still waiting." Jesus is God: Jesus said, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. ": Mat 28 16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. 18And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19Go therefore[3] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, John 8 19Then they said to Him, "Where is Your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither Me nor My Father. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also." John 14 9Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, "Show us the Father'? 10Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. God said, "I will not give My glory to another. ": Is 48 11For My own sake, for My own sake, I will do it; For how should My name be profaned? And I will not give My glory to another. Yet He Glorifies Christ: John 17 1 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should[1] give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. Pastor Glenn |
