Bible Question: Belieiving in the providnece of God is hard to reconcile at times. How do I find God's grace and comfort in the midst of a dark season, by which He, providentually brought me to? How do I trust in the same hand of God for mercy that has brought suffering? |
Bible Answer: This is a partial repost of 162181 .......... God's day to you, vernen I think about Job and Paul who experience this 1. It proves our relationship with God. Job was blameless, upright, fearing God and turning away from evil, yet when bad thing happened, he did not sin nor did he blame God ... and he held fast his integrity he could accept good from God and adversity (Job 1:1-2:10). 2. It strenghtens us in our weakness, as it did Paul. 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 reminds us that His grace is sufficent and His power is perfect. 3. It develops endurance. When we encounter various trials it ia the testing of our faith which produces endurance ... so may be mature and complete ... and He gives us the widom we ask for (Jam 1:2-4). 4. It lets us rely on God and His comfort. He promises to comfort us in all our troubles and delivers us. Our hope is set on Him. (2 Cor 1:8-11). 5. We gain approval through our faith as we focus on the future. Faith is assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen (Heb 11:1) ... because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they would not be made perfect (vv 35-40).
