Subject: Is Jesus YHWH? |
Bible Note: They did not know his name: Ex 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them. Isa 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. LORD is JEHOVAH Joh 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. Php 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Many think the name God gave here was Jesus. That is incorrect. He already had the name Jesus. According to the scriptures above the name God gave to Jesus is LORD or Jehavoh. Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Is Jesus a Spirit? The answer to that question is yes and no. Ga 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, Definately not a Spirit at this time. 2 things make flesh, spirit and blood. Spirit: Joh 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. Jas 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Blood: Le 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Joh 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. God is a Spirit. Spirit cannot die. Jesus Died. Ro 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. Flesh can die. Spirit cannot. There was no blood in the body of Jesus. What raised Jesus from the dead? Spirit raised him, the Spirit of God. Mt 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. God is in Jesus he is now Spirit, he can not die. That is why he has all power. That is why he is both High Priest and sacrifice: Ac 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Lord (Jehavoh), Christ (Messiah) A look to Revelations shows this chronology: Re 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. "and which was" God never was, God can not die. A mathmatical approach(Transitive Property): If A equals B and if C equals B then A equals C Isa 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. If LORD, Jehavoh equals saviour Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; and Jesus Christ equals Saviour Then LORD equals Jesus Christ Jesus was flesh before the cross and Spirit after the cross: Flesh: Mt 26:11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. Jesus will not always be with us. Only 2 chapters later in Matthew, Spirit: Mt 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. There was no blood in the body. No blood, no life of the flesh. Before you ask, I am not a Jehavoh's Witness, I am Apostolic. Praise the Lord! Norm |
