Subject: Show in the Bible once saved always |
Bible Note: Kalos, Using my NIV Bible I came up with the following verse. "Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position." 2 Peter 3:17 I believe that the above verse was addressed to believers indicated in this verse by the words, "dear friends" "you" and "your" Secondly they must have possessed (present tense) a secure position Thirdly, there was the warning of the possibility of falling from that secure position which they presently enjoyed. So in light of that, the believers were told to "be on their guard" |
