Bible Question: Where does the Bible show once SAVED ALWAYS. |
Bible Answer: Hello Glennwilson30 I would give the following verses: John 3:36 (ESV) Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. Believing equals eternal life. It does not say conditional life, or probationary life--it's eternal (never-ending) life right now. ------------- Romans 8:29-30 (ESV) For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. [30] And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. What God started, He has promised to finish. ------------- Ephes. 1:13-14 (ESV) In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, [14] who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. What is the Holy Spirit's place in these verses? a. Seal - identification we are God's own. b. Guarantee (earnest, down payment) - earnest money is put down as a promise to pay the full amount. Same thing in spiritual realm. Steve |
