Bible Note: Hi Cheri, The number of the elders is as it is stated 24, this which is plain to see is not 144.000, nor is it the great multitude that came out of the tribulation. In the vision the elders and and the angels both gave information or intruction as to what was taking place in order for John to understand so that he could reveal to us what he had seen. According to the vision, as well as the four beasts, and the angels they are only seen round about the throne. only what was necessary for John to know was revealed to him and that was concerning the earth and the people thereon, ie the 144,000, those that came out of the tribulation, the wrath of God on those that woshiped the antichrist, the joy of the overcomers at the end in heaven. What we have is as far as the vision went so if it was not important for us to know we do not have it. Hope this helps. Yours sincerely M.Royal |
