AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will vanish with a [mighty and thunderous] roar, and the [material] elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and the works that are on it will be burned up. |
Bible Question:
How/why does Jesus come as a thief in the night? M.Royal |
Bible Answer: A thief breaks into a home at night when everyone is asleep and not expecting him. Jesus will come when most of the world won't be expecting Him. However, the scripture goes on to say that we are not of the night that Christ coming should take us unawares. We may not know the day nor the hour, but we should at least know the season. In my opinion (although I could of course be wrong) the things that we see going on in the world is a strong indication that the Lord's return is soon. |
