Subject: Heb6:4-6 Loosing salvation or what? |
Bible Note: The people in Hebrews 5:11-6:3 are one group of people; the "you" The people in Hebrews 6:4-6 are another group of people; the "those" Hebrews 6:7-8 explains the case of the "those" as hoppy has explained very well. Hebrews 6:9-12 is about the true believers. "Those" people in verses 4-6 have obviously called themselves christains, been around true christians, then turned around and made a mockery of the cross by turning away from claiming to be a Christian. At a point in time, they turned aside from what they had experienced. “it is impossible to renew them again to repentance” (renew—restore) They cannot be restored to repentance, since they turned from true repentance. - Spiros Zodhiates, The Complete Word Study Dictionary: New Testament Blessings, Val |
