Subject: KJV vs "New Age Bible Versions"? |
Bible Note: DarcyA I find just the opposite of you, most close minds that I run into come from people with little or no education in area they are so closed about. I think this forum is a perfect example. Many have reasoned it out in the their minds using faulty information and are sure they have the right answer and no amount of proof will convince them otherwise. As I said most of my education has taught me how little I really know. Each class I would take would leave me more questions than I had before I walked into the class. Yet when I first started my formal education I thought I had things pretty well figured out. It wasn't until I started to listen to the professors, the points they made, the questions they raised that I understood how little I really did know. Sure there were classes that that I learned little or nothing from, some that bored me to tears yet each played a part in my education. If nothing else I learned what makes a really boring class. :-) Did I always agree with all positions taught absolutely not. In fact I still chuckle over my one professor that marked my answer wrong because I presented and defended a position in opposition to his. Even though I had other professors and even the Dean of the college on my side it cost me a grade point and effected my whole graduation position. You know what? I laugh about it now. And it taught me to listen even more to others position. EdB |
